  • • MID 2015 UPDATE

    A YUGOSLAVIA POST takes the cake with 25,000 hits, which proves to me again that we live in the age of continuous ideological warfare. I approached just about every scholarly publisher a few years back to make the pertinent Handke texts on that subject available, a book that 

    Scholar Scott Abbott would oversee. No dice. The murk of rumor thus persists. 

    
    

    My Malte Herwig review comes in second with appr. 15,000 which still puzzles the hell out of me! An aberration! If I'd known I'd have done a more detailed job. Since Herwig that fool threatened to sue the Austrian NACHRICHTEN A.T. if they did not remove their Marie Colbin review of his book, I had the hunch that he tried to do a D.O.S. attack initially! Marie Colbin's piece is doing nicely here with two postings and a total of 2,500 hits! Handke's women were no fools!

    • Amazingly I say because I doubt the book even sold 10,000 copies & if I'd known I'd have done a more professional job. I mean there are some very useful matters that Malte's shoe-leather efforts have contributed, not that on the level of shoe-leather he might not have worn out a few more walking shoes, what bothered me was his lack of relationship to Handke's texts.   Thus I conclude that Malte must have launched a DOS attack on the site at the time that I put up my review  since, after all, he succeeded in suppressing Marie Colbin's  review by threatening AT.NEWS with a 60 K Euro Lawsuit. if they didn't take down here review. (A very bad move if ever there was one!) What if Handke had gone around since his early days threatening to sue for negative reviews? AT, unable to afford a lawyer, succumbed, which brought Colbin and me finally into contact! And once we were in contact we considered getting married because we figured we'd never get bored telling each other Peter Handke stories! And her review posted at several of  the below sites has acquired a few thousand hits, too,  3000 + all told.
